The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey is located on Admiralty Way on the water overlooking the boats of the marina. It’s close enough to walk to restaurants and bars (Tony P’s has 100 beers in its pub and Cafe del Rey has a flight of three wines by the glass for $12 on Fridays, plus there’s a Cheesecake Factory on a calm lagoon known as Mother’s Beach), and a short drive to Santa Monica and Venice.
Or, you could take the bike path just out the door along the beach in Venic and Santa Moncia, or along the Marina del Rey channel. Guest services can arrange bike rentals. There is also a WaterBus with seven dropoff locations around the Marina (Shanghai Red’s is the best place in Fisherman’s Village) and there are free classical concerts on Thursdays in Chase Park. There are also sailboats for rent and boats for charter and dinner and sunset cruises.
On the Ritz property there are two outdoor hardcourt tennis courts with tennis clinics and instruction and a waterfront pool.
